October marks the start of fall festival season along the beautiful Forgotten Coast. With celebrations centered around everything from songwriters to Halloween, it’s a wonderful time to get outside and enjoy the welcoming culture of the area. Bay Fest
St. James Bay | Carrabelle
October 6th- 8th, 2023

Bay Fest and the 2023 Tate’s Hell 5k will be bigger and better than ever! This year, Bay Fest will be a 3-DAY event with a Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, Tate’s Hell 5k, Kids Bike Safety Rodeo, Tate’s historical reading and Lookalike Contest, and other FREE kids activities on Saturday, and a Charity Pickleball Tournament on Sunday.


Forgotten Coast Music Festival
George Core Park | Port St. Joe
October 7th – 8th, 2023

Head to George Core Park for the 5th Annual Forgotten Coast Music Festival overlooking the St. Joe Bay. This year’s line-up includes the Danielle Nicole Band, Frank Bang, In Layman Terms, Billy Rigsby Band, Biscuit Miller & The Mix, Shaw Davis & The Black Ties, Corey Hall, and Brett Wellman & the Stone Cold Blues Band.


City of Wewahitchka Fall Festival

The city of Wewa will be having a Fall Festival on October 7, 2023, from 9AM – 4PM CT with arts & craft vendors, food trucks, live music, a silent auction, and more! Come out for a fun, family-friendly day around beautiful Lake Alice.


Blast on the Bay Songwriters Festival
Multiple Venues | Port St. Joe
October 19th -22nd, 2023

Celebrating the festival’s 13th anniversary, the Forgotten Coast will play host to a group of talented musicians and songwriters direct from the streets of Nashville. Festival performances will consist of musicians who collectively have written hundreds of hit songs from Faith Hill and George Strait to Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks.


4th Annual SGI Lighthouse Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular
St. George Island Lighthouse | St. George Island
October 27th, 2023

The St. George Lighthouse Association is hauntingly happy to be hosting its 4th Annual SGI Lighthouse Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular at SGI Lighthouse Park. This free, family-friendly event will feature multiple candy stations along the sidewalk and spooky decorations lighting up the park. Guests, young or old, are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and join us for the fun.


Ghosts on the Coast
Reid Avenue | Port St. Joe
October 31st, 2023

Calling all Pumpkins, Ghosts, Dragons and Witches too! The City of Port St. Joe and the Gulf County Chamber of Commerce have a SPOOKY PARTY planned on Reid Avenue! Trick or Treating will begin at 5:30pm, and as you make your way down Reid Avenue, stop at the Capital City tent to receive your entry number and get a photo in your costume for the blind judged costume contest.
