Sales rose slightly in the Forgotten Coast real estate market during August in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 48 single family homes closed during the month with 89 properties currently under contract. Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach and Port St. Joe tied for highest number of transactions with 14 closings each while Mexico Beach had the highest priced property to close, a gulf front, five-bedroom home in Sugar Sand at $3.8 million.
